The MIDDEN database is periodically updated by PBL and TNO and contains interesting information about a large part of Dutch industry.
Part of the information from the MIDDEN database has ended up as key figures in the EDR. This is a first attempt at mapping on ESDL (at this moment many technologies are still mapped on the ESDL asset GenericConversion).
With another part of the MIDDEN database, maps can be made after conversion to ESDL, for example after a combination has been made with station locations of the network operators.
By creating two scenarios in ESDL, one with the current status of the industry and one with the first option for making industrial processes more sustainable, the impact on electricity demand can be assessed.
